New Olimpiyskiy to have even more sport

Olimpiyskiy is a legendary sports facility with a history of more than four decades. The sports complex was built for the 1980 Olympic Games, becoming one of the main attractions of Moscow, and for a long time was the largest indoor sports facility in Europe.

Currently, the complex is carrying out the reconstruction, which is scheduled to be completed in 2025.

The new Olimpiyskiy will become one of the best sports facilities in the country: swimming and jumping pools for competitions at the highest level, wading and wellness pools, spa and fitness zones, an indoor skating rink, gyms, a martial arts center, a water amusement park and a surfing center will appear here again. In total, dozens of sports infrastructure facilities and even more sports will be presented within the walls of the Olimpiyskiy Aquatic and Sport & Recreation Centers.

The main building of the new Olimpiyskiy will be equipped with a multifunctional arena for sports, concerts, circus and other entertainment events, a space for exhibitions and conferences will open, as well as a multiplex cinema, a children's entertainment center and objects of socio-cultural significance.

On the roof of the main building there will be an open walking area – Olympic Boulevard, around which a ring of panoramic restaurants will move.

In addition, parking will be expanded, which will make visiting Olimpiyskiy more comfortable.

The new Olimpiyskiy will fully meet the requirements of the time – both in terms of the level of technological equipment and safety, and in terms of the expectations and requests of future visitors and tenants.
