The press service of the Russian Federation of Aquatic Sports spoke about the importance for athletes to train in modern conditions at the Olympic Multi‑Functional Complex after its reconstruction, without any restrictions.

The complex will retain its key mission: it will be accessible to a wide audience and at the same time will become a modern base for training professional athletes. The project envisages the creation of a large‑scale Water Complex — a separate building with a total area of 243,000 square metres, which will include 15 swimming pools, a water entertainment park, a surfing centre and much more.

It is very important that representatives of water sports continue to have the opportunity to train without restrictions and for free in modern conditions. If the Olympic Complex is ready to become a base for training professional athletes and to manage the infrastructure together with the Russian Water Sports Federation, such a step can be seen as a desire to contribute to the development of Russian swimming, the press service of the Russian Water Sports Federation told Match TV.
